William M. Boal, Associate Professor of Economics, holds a B.A. from Wesleyan University and a Ph.D. from Stanford University. He has taught at Stanford, Ohio State University, and Iowa State University. His research is in labor economics, with special interest in coal mining in the early twentieth century.
