FAQ

Question:Is credit offered for professional experience or certifications?
Answer:Drake's College of Business and Public Administration only offers course credit for graded courses with credit hours earned from an accredited institution. Applicants are encouraged to share their non-academic history to determine the best combination of courses to meet their needs. For the MBA and MAcc programs, students who feel they have sufficient professional experience in the foundation couses have the opportunity to demonstrate their competency through challenge exams. A challenge exam is similar to taking a cumulative final exam for the course, and a student must earn a 70% ("C") or better to successfully meet the requirement. We offer challenge exams for Accounting 200, Finance 200, Information Systems 200, Management 200 and Marketing 200.
