FAQ

Question:How long do I have to add or drop a class?
Answer:

Adding a class:  Standardly for each semester, students can appeal to course instructors in order to be added to a class during the first week of classes.  Please be aware that there are many factors that are evaluated by instructors when considering adding students to a course.  Ultimately, the decision is up to the instructor.

Dropping a class:  From the first day of the semester, the instructor must sign an add/drop slip in order for a student to be dropped.  To drop a class without a "W" on your transcript, the completed & signed add/drop slip must be submitted by the end of the 2nd week of classes.  To drop a class with a "W" on your transcript, the completed & signed add/drop slip must be submitted by the mid-point of the semester.  After the mid-point of the semester, classes are no longer allowed to be dropped.

Specific Dates for the Spring 2004 semester:
Last Day to Add - Friday, January 16th
Last Day to Drop without a "W" - Friday, January 23rd
Last Day to Drop with a "W" - Friday, March 5th
